ELIZABETH GILBERT’S
CREATIVITY WORKSHOP
Creativity Notebook Prompt #2
I have been a very creative person ever since I can remember. As a child a made up stories, as a teenager I liked to paint, as a young adult I started writing poetry and was one of those fortunate people on earth to be able to choose a career I loved and wanted to pursue.
My first jobs were all related to the career I was studying and once I was out of the university with a degree in Mass Communications I had a wonderful well paid job with an important corporation.
Then one day I felt my creativity was at risk and decided to leave my comfort zone, became an entrepreneur in the corporate communications area, where I have had a very successful career.
I loved this exercise. It helps you discover how integrated you really are with yourself, what is missing and what new challenges you wish to pursue.
I think creativity is something you must always nurture with new motivations, technics and awesome experiences that keep it evolving all the time.
That’s the reason I am taking this Creativity Workshop with Elizabeth Gilbert.

ELIZABETH GILBERT’S
CREATIVITY WORKSHOP
Creativity Notebook Prompt #1
THE LAST THING I REALLY WONDERED ABOUT
I wondered about taking this workshop… but actually I am always wondering about everything. I guess it’s part of my creative work.
THE LAST TIME I TAPPED INTO MY CREATIVE FLOW
I think I tap into my creative flow with frequency because of my everyday job which I love and feel passionate about. It is fun and exciting.
WHAT I LOVED DOING WHEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD
When I was 8 years old I was a political exile of the Cuban Revolution…rich girl turned poor. What I loved to do the most was to imitate famous singers and movie stars, dress up like them, play a record, and perform for my parents friends when they came over for exiled gatherings.
THE LAST PASSAGE OF A BOOK THAT INSPIRED ME
I have been inspired by many books during my life because I am a voracious reader, but I recently read Austin Kleon’s «Steal like an Artist» and it was inspiring and I felt totally identified with his message. I gave it as a gift to all my nephews.
WHAT I AM DOING WHEN I FEEL MOST BEAUTIFUL
I feel most beautiful in the morning when I wake up because of the gift of a brand new day; and at night when I go to sleep in gratitude for the achievements of the day and the challenges of tomorrow.
MY SUPERPOWERS
My superpower is resilience. My capacity for learning something good and new out of every moment of adversity in life.
WHAT I WOULD YOU DO FOR A LIVING IF I WERE NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING
I would like to make a living as a full time writer. But actually I am not afraid. I think it is a question of time and learning the craft and the business. That is my life goal.
LOOKING AT THE BIG PICTURE
My life themes are love, truth, happiness and hope.
WHAT IS EXCITING TO ME
Life on itself is exciting. I have lots of things in my life I feel passion about: writing and reading, music, traveling, gardening and photography.
WHAT I YOU WANT TO USE THIS WORKSHOP FOR
I want to pursue more creativity … and as Elizabeth Gilbert would says: «I want more magic !»
